Production Investment in the Implementation of an Aseptic Bottle Filling Line in the Village of Gavrailovo, Sliven Municipality, by Nova Trade EOOD
On 25 August 2026 at 11:00 a.m., an information event will be held at the premises of Nova Trade EOOD, located in the Industrial Zone, 4190 Saedinenie, Bulgaria, regarding the implementation of Grant Agreement No. BG16FFPR003-4.006-0023-C01/22-04-2026, concluded between the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and Nova Trade EOOD.
The project is aimed at supporting productive investments in large enterprises in the Stara Zagora region.
The activities under the Grant Agreement include:
• Establishment of a new high-tech production facility of Nova Trade EOOD in the village of Gavrailovo, Sliven Municipality, through the implementation of an aseptic production line for soft drinks and table water.
The production line is of a high industrial standard and enables a fully sterile filling process through dry sterilisation of packaging, an isolated filling zone, automated purification systems and precise dosing. This enables the production of preservative-free beverages with high added value and an extended shelf life compared to conventional production technologies.
• To ensure the energy sustainability and independence of the new facility, the project includes the construction of a photovoltaic system with an installed capacity of 2.5 MW, to be located on the available rooftop areas and suitable ground areas.
The expected annual renewable electricity generation will exceed 3,900 MWh, enabling a substantial share of the facility’s future electricity demand to be covered by renewable energy.
The system will also incorporate a local energy storage facility with a nominal power of 2 MW and a storage capacity of 4.5 MWh. This will enable load optimisation, peak-load management, increased self-consumption and a stable electricity supply for the energy-intensive aseptic production processes.
• As a result of the project, 46 new jobs will be created, and the facility will operate as a modern production centre characterised by a low carbon footprint, a high degree of energy self-sufficiency and a significant contribution to the sustainable development of the region.
The investment supports the transformation of the local economy in line with the objectives of the Territorial Just Transition Plan, by developing production in the priority sector of “Manufacturing” and introducing clean technologies that will contribute to the long-term improvement of the industrial environment in Sliven Municipality and the Stara Zagora region.
Representatives of all stakeholders involved in the project are invited to attend the Opening Information Event.
During the event, the key parameters of the approved project, its specific objectives, implementation plan and expected results will be presented.
